Jools Holland

Before he started presenting his TV show Later With Jools Holland, the man himself was the founding member the band Squeeze in 1974.
In 1981, Holland left the band to pursue a solo career. His first stint at presenting was alongside Paula Yates on The Tube in the early eighties.
By the end of that decade, he’d formed the basis for the Jools Holland Rhythm & Blues Orchestra and was given his own TV show, Later… in 1992. That show, and his annual New Year’s Eve Hootenanny, continues to be one best showcases for contemporary music from around the world.
He’s been in Australia as part of the Byron Bay BluesFest.
