Finishing up its fourth season, Jurassic Lounge is wilder than ever, opening its doors after-hours for Tuesday night sessions featuring pop-up bars, live bands and DJs, burlesque dancers, craft workshops, rave caves, live art and more, set against a stunning backdrop of taxidermy and quirky specimens. A fantastic event for backpackers and travellers alike to experience the rare opportunity to party in a museum!
Tuesday 16th October-
Jurassic lounge is teaming up with friends Peats Ridge for an evening of sultry burlesque by Miss Briana Bluebell, live music from roots band Fanny Lumsden and the Thrillseakers and indie-pop quartet Lime Cordiale as well as comedy storytelling Shameful Confessions and Inthemix Rave Cave beats by Cassian.
Tuesday 23rd October-
Programmed by Same Same for Queer Night. Night includes Girlthing DJ Ben Lucid, the beautiful sounds of Canberra based band Julia and The Deep Sea Sirens and live comedy.
Tuesday 30th October-
It’s a Halloween special and end of the season! With performances from American Psycho & Vampire Burlesque dancer Frankie Faux, possessed priest boylesque dancer Dear Bobby and Edward scissor hands boylesque Defy. As well as ‘day of the dead’ and ‘ Halloween Costume’ making in the craft workshop. Live music from roots solo artist Packwood and indie rock band The Faults, Halloween horror stories comedy and live art + exhibition from the very talented Chris Yee.
