Kakadu 4WD Safaris
An independent, family-owned and operated tour company, Kakadu 4WD Safaris take you to the most amazing destinations in this national park, so you can’t help but fall in love with it.
Take their 3 Day Adventure for example; camping at Djarradjin Billabong in a small group with an experienced guide, you are taken from Darwin and introduced to the incredible sights, sounds and experiences of Kakadu. As soon as you cross the Marrakai floodplains of the Adelaide River on day one, the adventure begins. You’ll get to discover Aboriginal rock art, browse the Bowalli Visitor Centre, look out to the Arnhemland sandstone plateau, cruise along the East Alligator River while looking out for crocodiles and camp beneath the stars in a packed first day.
On day two, you get to immerse yourself in Kakadu with a 4WD to the famous Jim Jim Falls and Twin Falls, both extraordinary spots where you can swim in plunge pools, admire the towering walls and check out the incredible views.
Before you know it, you’re on your last day on this adventure tour, but you can make sure you go out with a bang by visiting Maguk for a final swim and walk along such gorgeous landscape. Before returning to Darwin, you’ll also call into the Warradjan Visitor Centre and be able to purchase any last-minute souvenirs from the Didge Hut.
The 3 Day Adventure runs from April – November, and the itinerary may change due to weather conditions or road closures. Either way, with a 4WD, small group, knowledgeable tour guide, camping, two breakfasts, three lunches and two dinners at $495pp, this Kakadu tour will never let you down.
