On the early hours of the 4th March it was announced by CNN UK that Keith from The Prodigy was found dead at his home aged just 49. The devasting news that the original king of UK rave, Keith Flint was sadly found dead at his home and it was later confirmed he took his own life by bandmate Liam. Keith was a household name with those growing up in the UK throughout the 90’s and the band continued to have ongoing success since. Fans in Australia would have been among the last to experience the artist perform having just completed their Australasia tour earlier this month.

Keith’s bandmates from The Prodigy are left devasted

The dance world will never be the same and industry colleagues including The Chemical Bros, Chase & Status and Jo Whiley are taking to social media to share their fond memories of the much loved iconic artist.  

On 4th March The Prodigy announce on Twitter “It is with deepest shock and sadness that we can confirm the death of our brother and best friend Keith Flint, a true pioneer, innovator and legend. He will be forever missed.”  Later via Instagram, bandmate Liam Howlett, confirmed that Keith had sadly taken his own life.
