Kendrick Lamar featuring Busta Rhymes – Rigamortis (Remix) – Single Review

Compton, California’s Kendrick Lamar is viewed by many hip hop fans and insiders as one of the most promising of the new breed of artists. Lamar boasts impressive wordplay, timing and a distinctive voice, and this remix of “Rigamortus” off debut album Section .80 illustrates the assets he brings to the rap game.

The track has a catchy and repetitive horn section alongside a thumping backbeat, and it is fitting that Busta Rhymes decides to drop in for a verse, as both Busta and Lamar have that ridiculously quick fire delivery that has you wondering how they can possibly do it. A track many hip hop fans will enjoy, but perhaps not for casual fans of the genre.
