It’s not just sweat that’ll be getting you wet at Chinese Laundry Saturday January 28… Straight after the Garden Party we will playing host to internationally renowned dubstep artist KITO

Having had her first completed tracks picked up by none other than Dubstep pioneer and figurehead, Skream, and released on his label Disfugured Dubz, KITO hit the ground running and shows no sign of slowing down. Since her first release in 2009, Australian born Maaike Lebbing has gone from strength to strength, with her pop-infused, fresh and precisely clean production style receiving support globally from a number of leading DJs and producers.

After teaming up with fellow hottie and BFF Reija Lee on the 4 track EP, ‘Sweet Talk’ on Diplo’s hugely influential label, Mad Decent, Kito hit gold, with the UK’s BBC Radio 1, 1XTra and Triple J blasting her tunes for the whole world to hear. The title track ‘Sweet Talk’ even cracked the Dubstep Beatport Charts, sitting second place for weeks and earning the sex kitten a whole new following.

Following on from Sweet Talk, 2011 saw Kito further develop her partnership with Reija Lee, remixing Spor’s track ‘Pacifica’ which was released on his imprint Lifted earlier last year. The Pacifica EP jumped straight to number 7 on the iTunes Electronic Dance Chart, and reaffirmed Kito’s position as the leading lady in the International Dubstep scene.

With an already large and ever-growing fan base and encouraging articles and reviews from publications such as The Guardian, NME, Knowledge and In The Mix, plus guest mixes on Radio 1, Triple J, Rinse FM amongst others – it is clear big things are in store for KITO in 2012!
