krankbrother Welcome Jody Barr To krankbrother Records

DJ and production duo, krankbrother, are set to welcome Jody Barr for the label’s follow-up EP, ‘Room 108’, released on 18th May.

Providing us with a taste of dark techno, ‘Room 108’ is a step up from previous “Curious Incident’ and predecessor “Coloured Skin”. With support from BBC Radio 1 representatives B Traits and George Fitzgerald, the label is reinforcing a focus on providing a new platform for new and upcoming artists.
With ‘Room 108’ also marking Barr’s debut EP release, its title track opener is a late night rhythm – whilst ‘Think About It’ opts for a synth-rich approach that ensures the EP’s distinctly industrial feel is still very much alive. Closing track ‘Arizona Dream’ sees Barr build on his authentic rawness before overlaying affair with some master piano key work to round off a thoroughly enjoyable debut record that is much more than just standard house and techno.

As a newcomer to the industry, Jody Barr has had some incredible support from Radio 1 and is expected to go to huge heights in the future.
