Labrinth feat. Tinie Tempah Earthquake (Eyes Remix)
Following on from last year’s Top 3 smash ‘Let the Sun shine.’, Tinie
Tempah’s partner-in-rhyme, Labrinth, releases his new single, Earthquake.
After supporting slots on Tinie Tempah’s global hits ‘Pass Out’ and ‘Frisky’, it’s Tinie’s time to play second fiddle on Labrinth’s latest as the two
combine well on this bass crunching, floor filler of a track.
Hyperactive electronic bleeps, seemingly ripped straight from treasured Super Nintendo games of yesteryear, lead us into a fist pumping, hook laden chorus, as Labrinth’ aggressively ‘predicts an Earthquake’. The track
is instant and will have you humming the chorus long before Tinie picks things up in the second verse. Simply put, it’s a bona fide, money in the bank, guaranteed hit.
It is however the ‘Eyes’ remix of the track that is the true stand out on this release. It is amazing just how far ‘Eyes’ pull and twist the original to create
what could only be described as the soundtrack to an apocalypse in a dance tent, the sort of song that has a special effects budget and a lung crushing, primal roar of bass that drives the track into a wild drum step
frenzy. It’s not for the faint hearted, you have been warned.
