Leah Mencel Crowned She Can DJ 2012 Winner

Leah Mencel was crowned the winner of Australia and New Zealand’s Top 10 She Can DJ. The final was held at Sydney‘s premier venue Ivy last night and Mencel reportedly played a banging set full of floor fillers. By winning the contest Mencel has gained a global EMI Music recording contract.

Leah said of her win: “I’m ecstatic! This is the second year that I’ve taken part in She Can DJ, and I worked extremely hard to get here and wanted to win this amazing prize. It just goes to show, hard work really does pay off. I can’t wait to see what the next twelve months will bring!”

As part of her prize Leah will join Southern Cross Austereo’s Party People, playing a weekly set for the next year to over 600,000 national listeners.
