Open Water Diver Course
For anyone that wants to take it one step further, you can become a certified diver on the Open Water Diver Course with The Dive Shed. Consisting of three parts – Academics, Pool Training and Open Water Sessions – the SSI Online Training program is designed so that you can learn the academics at a pace that suits you. You can complete the Academics stage online by registering with The Dive Shed ($150 deposit required) – then it’s onto the practical stuff. On your first day, you’ll learn all about the equipment, then hit the pool at Geographe Leisure Centre in Busselton to learn scuba diving skills. Over the following two days, you complete four dives in real scuba diving environments – developing from a maximum of five metres at Busselton Jetty, up to 18 metres at Swan Wreck and Lena Wreck. Your new skills will then be put to the test in one final dive as you aim to prove to your instructor that you are now a scuba diver.
The Open Water Diver Course is $525pp and includes all materials, equipment, training, certification and four ocean dives in popular sites that professional divers would be envious of!
