Leftfield New Album Alternative Light Source

One of the UK’s electronic music acts that has gained legendary status, Leftfield will be releasing their first album in 16 years this June 2015.

‘Alternative Light Source’ marks the return of Leftfield, and while the music is just as dominating as before, there have been some changes to the outfit. While originally a duo, Leftfield is now solely led by Neil Barnes, while Paul Daley concentrates on his own solo projects. Barnes is not alone on the album though; ‘Alternative Light Source’ features collaborations with Channy Leaneagh (Poliça), Ofei, Tunde Adebimpe (TV On The Radio) and Sleaford Mods.

The first single from the album, ‘Universal Everything’, is a monster of a track, a full seven minutes of techno that tells you Leftfield are definitely back and just as good, if not better, as 16 years ago.

‘Alternative Light Source’ is out 5th June 2015 on Infectious Records.
