Lenny Kravitz To Headline Bluesfest 2015

On 2nd April 2015, the multi award winning five-day festival Bluesfest is set to kick off and rock music lovers will be ecstatic to hear the breaking news that the legendary Rock Superstar will be headlining. The annual Easter Weekend event will be held north of Byron Bay delivering an awesome collection of blues music.

Running for five days from 2nd – 5th April 2015, the eagerly anticipated Bluesfest festival is again as expected to entertain its audience with one of the biggest line ups. Headlining will be none other than the hugely talented Lenny Kravitz and his 16 man strong band accompanying him on stage. On the opening night the lucky audience will be treated to a brilliant display of tracks from his immense catalogue of songs that range in genre which has enabled the New Yorker to have such a timeless career in music.

He has sold nearly forty million albums and has produced hits songs that still to this day sound as fresh as ever, including ‘Are You Gonna Go My Way’, ‘Fly Away’, ‘Rock and Roll Is Dead’, ‘Again’ and his take on ‘American Woman’.

His appearance on the opening night of Bluesfest will mark his debut at the event and will also be only his third time touring Australia and also it will be the first time Lenny Kravitz has performed north of Sydney.

Speaking on the event was Bluesfest Festival Director, Peter Noble displayed such excitement in having Kravitz headline.

We have Blues Rock superstar Lenny Kravitz in the house on the Thursday, along with the Counting Crows, Ben Howard, Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue, Jimmy Cliff, the Chris Robinson Brotherhood and so many more. Thursday at Bluesfest is going to be massive.

It has taken us years of negotiations and now, one of my dreams as a Festival Director, is about to come true. Lenny Kravitz has the hits – the charisma – the show. He is one of the greats of the modern Rock era. He is the icing on the cake, for what is shaping to be one of our best ever Bluesfest’s and we sure are putting an awful lot of icing on our Bluesberry cake this year.
