Lianne La Havas Anncounes Headline Tour
Don’t miss Lianne La Havas on her Australian tour!
One of the UK’s most popular exports – Lianne La Havas, has announced that she will be performing two solo headline shows in Sydney and Melbourne this December.
Coming over to Australia as Coldplay’s main support act on their upcoming ‘A Head Full of Dreams’ stadium tour.
Having already opened for Coldplay at their UK, Europe and Latin America tours the eclectic songstress last appeared in Australia for four Sydney festival shows as well as gigs in Melbourne and Brisbane.
While on tour the British artist will perform songs from her recent sophomore album ‘Blood’, the 2015 follow-up to her acclaimed 2012 debut Is ‘Your Love Big Enough’, which earned La Havas a Mercury Prize nomination and the iTunes ‘Best of 2012’ Award. ‘Blood’ brought La Havas her first Grammy nomination for Best Urban Contemporary Album and debuted locally as Double J’s Album Of The Week. The album is a collection that shakes, shimmies and swings with imaginative and immersive grooves, firmly placing La Havas at the top of any ‘Ones To Watch’ list.
La Havas established a close friendship with Prince during her 2013 American tour, culminating with the legendary performer hosting a press conference at her London home the following year. “He heard my music, somehow, two years ago and decided he wanted to meet me,” said La Havas. “So after a show in New York, I went to Paisley Park, Prince’s studio outside of Minneapolis. We listened to music and had crudités and tea. He had PG Tips. It was surreal.”
La Havas has continued to go from strength to strength, selling out headline dates at some of the world’s most prestigious venues including Brixton Academy and Royal Albert Hall, as well as performing at some of the biggest music festivals, including Glastonbury, Latitude and Bestival.
