Lunar Markets in Melbourne
Start the Year of Monkey with 11 days of Asian cuisine, drinks, and light installations in Docklands.
2016 marks the first year of The Age Lunar Markets in Melbourne. The pop up food and drinks festival will span across 11 days from February 4 to 14. Keep up the New Year excitements through the first half of February and head on down to Harbour Esplanade with friends to celebrate the Chinese New Year! The Age Lunar Markets is brought to you by the team that successfully runs the Night Noodle Markets every November, so you can expect a photogenic and delicious experience.
The Age Lunar Markets will feature more than 20 food stalls that will bring you a variety of Asian cuisine. Have Thai food for a late weekend lunch or Filipino skewers for after work munchies. Whatever you’d like, a 14-metre Phoenix and Chinese lanterns will get you in the mood for Lunar New Year celebrations. The entry is free, so this is a great chance to discover some local and regional restaurants that will keep your Asian food cravings satisfied all year.
