Mahala Announce Two Internationals For Their Next Event
Melbourne collective Mahala, have locked in two key internationals for their next party in July.
Over the past year, Mahala have focused on sharing quality techno to the Melbourne masses and as a result, have been responsible for showcasing artists like Nick Hõppner, Wankelmut and Alexkid. For their latest event at Melbourne’s Railway Hotel, Mahala have secured the services of the UK’s dubspeeka and France’s KIKO.
Hailing from Bristol, dubspeeka is a founding member of the seminal dance act Kosheen. Over the past 24 months he has reinvented himself as a purveyor of sleek, heavyweight techno. With an already hefty catalogue to his name, such as 2014’s “Noise” EP on Truesoul, the “Fargo” EP on Senso Sounds, and the his outings for burgeoning imprint DEXT, dubspeeka is considered one of the hottest acts of the moment.
Playing alongside him will be KIKO, one of the true French pioneers in the 1990s. Having worked with the likes of The Hacker, Oxia, and Olivier Giacomotto on esteemed labels such as DJ Hell’s International Deejay Gigolo Records, Turbo Recordings and Noir, Kiko has continued to impress with every year that passes.
Now ready to rip Melbourne in two, dupspeeka and Kiko will play alongside a massive selection of local heroes including Dj Kiti, Stockholm Syndrome, Caine Sinclair, Dave Pham, Luke Mcd, Tahl, Scott Freedman, Dave Juric, J-Slyde, Luke Agius, Trent McDermott, Daniel Cuda, Machete, Dave Hutton, dayle, Brooke Powell and Rawman.
