Manifest in Queensland announce 2016 program

One of the highlights on Queensland’s pretty scarce festival program is the 3-day camping festival, Manifest. Since its humble beginnings in 2010, the festival have showcased artists such as dubstep DJ/producer Truth,  reggae-act Dillion James, glitch-hop mainstay Mr. Bill and trance star suncontrolspecies, and they are definitely growing into one of Queensland’s most anticipated music, art and culture events. Their 2016 program just dropped, and in true form it is definitely worthy of a celebration.

This years edition will be hosted at their new home in Elbow Valley, which is just over a 2 hour drive south east from Brisbane, and will showcase a carefully curated line-up of electronic music artists and live hip hop including breakbeat guru Ed Solo, Ninja Tunes act Blockhead, DJ Total Eclipse from the X-Ecutioners, local hip hop act Astronomy Class and drum n bass’ Royalston, just to name a few.

This year’s location is definitely worth writing home about as they secured the amazing Cherrabah resort which features a mini-golf course, a licensed restaurant, alpaca exhibitions, a pool (What?!) and an international airport (of course). More than enough reason to manifest yourself to Elbow Valley later this year.

To add to the festival’s appeal, Manifest also has an environmental commitment that is good for the soul; for every ticket sold, Manifest will plant one native Australian sapling, lowering the festival’s carbon footprint and helping deliver a more sustainable, green future. (Bless their little beats-based cotton socks) Throw on top of that the massive emphasis they place on the festival’s aesthetics which makes this a feast for the eyes as much as it does for the ears and the soul, and that 2-hour drive from Brisbane seems like nothing.

Manifest 2016 will be held from 23-25 September at the lush new location of Cherrabah Resort, Elbow Valley. Early Bird tickets have already sold out.
