Mardi Gras 2015 Film Festival
This year’s Mardi Gras Film Festival offers everyone a wide range of diverse and thought-provoking films. With the film festival running from Thursday 19th February – Thursday 5th March, there’s plenty of time to catch loads of films.
The films on offer range from gripping and tense, to sexy and hilarious, to fascinating crime documentaries, such as Drown, All about E, and Skin Deep making its Australian premiere. Along with a long list of films, attendees will have the chance to witness the Q&A session with the cast and crew from local film, The Set, hear about the life of the Grandfather of Gay Porn, Peter de Rome, and relive the iconic scene from Brokeback Mountain.
Also in this year’s film festival is a pop up bar, offering people a brief break from films to buy drinks and dance. With music artists such as Stereogamous, DJs Kitty Glitter, Adam Love, James Smithers and many more, it’ll be a great place to stretch your legs between film showings. Check the VIP special program being released on 21st January, or go to www.queerscreen.org.au to find tickets.
