Maximo Park To Play In The New Year!

It’s in the new year (only 3 months until 2013, scary, right?) but we like to keep you BBM readers in the know. We received news today of an Australian tour for Maximo Park this January! Only two dates have been listed so far, one in Sydney, one in Melbourne, so may we suggest a speedy reaction to this news regarding ticket purchases, because it will be a sell-out event! Previously announced as part of the Falls and Southbound Festivals, the band will now also headline shows in Sydney and Melbourne, a nice little extension to their trip to Australia!

It’s been seven years since Maximo Park released their critically acclaimed and Mercury Prize nominated debut album A Certain Trigger, and shot up the UK charts with their breakthrough single ‘Apply Some Pressure’. Now with over 2 million albums sold and an arena tour of Europe under their belt, the British 5 piece are currently in rip roaring form; more vital, forceful and potent than ever. Their recently released fourth album The National Health was recorded with the legendary Gil Norton (Pixies, Foo Fighters, Patti Smith), and it’s a ferocious and rousing blast of incendiary rock and roll.

The band will be supported at both shows by Sydney’s Glass Towers.
