Compact lounges with flat screen TV’s are on every floor, as well as clean kitchens for self catering. The hostel is fitted out with high speed internet, plus WiFi and Skype are also available.
There is also a rooftop deck complete with a city skyline view and deckchairs for sun baking. Weekly hostel activities include pub crawls and movie nights, so even if you are travelling alone, you will soon find other backpackers to meet. The hostel has 24 hour access so you will not be locked out after curfew.
Underneath the hostel you will find the vibrant backpackers bar Bertha Browns. With YHA member specials on food and drink as well as happy hour, Bertha Browns is a great place to start your big Melbourne night out!

Bus:
The hostel is located 1 kilometre to Southern Cross Station and Skybus Terminal.
Train:
The backpackers hostel is located 1 kilometre to Southern Cross Station.

Plane:
The backpackers hostel is located 28 kilometres to Melbourne Airport. Skybus operates 24 hours from Southern Cross Station and picks up at the hostel.

Other:
The entrance to Melbourne Central YHA Backpackers hostel is to the right hand side of Bertha Brown’s bar. Take the lift or stairs up to reception on level one.
