Hihou

This is a new Japanese style cocktail and wine bar that brings a touch of sophistication to the drinking world. Above the Nama Nama restaurant, the Hihou bar serves up some exciting cocktails and sharp drinks to a very limited and exclusive number of drinkers. Once you enjoyed a delicious serving of authentic Japanese cuisine, we advise that you venture upstairs to take your night to the next level.

Bar Americano

When you head into the Melbourne CBD laneways, you ‘ll find the Bar Americano on a lane of another lane! The 2013 finalist for Bar of the Year is a bar to visit that’s for sure. From Matt Bax, the creator of the Der Raum has continued the same ideas from that bar where the creation of the drinks are done so with an almost scientific approach. The Bar Americano is an authentic throwback to the 1920’s Italian bars with the drink selection an inspired leaf out of Robert Vermeire’s 1922 book Cocktails: How to Mix Them.

Section 8

This is quite a low key bar with the location looking more like a vacated lot in China Town, Melbourne but once you’ve got to the bar you won’t really care. Decorated with graffiti, hipster like characters holding intriguing conversations and the shipping container. Oh yeah, the bar is a converted shipping container just to add more of a quirky angle to the bar. Enjoy the past time of ‘people watching’ and also there’s the odd DJ and MC pumping out some beats and spitting some bars.
