Metronomy Unveil The Video To ‘Love Letters’
The first release from their highly anticipated album ‘Love Letters’ Metronomy have released the brand new video for the title track ‘Love Letters’. The video is directed by Academy award winner, Michel Gondry, and can be viewed below.
Gondry became known for his inventive visual style in early music videos for artists such as Bjork, Radiohead, Kylie Minogue, The White Stripes, Beck, Daft Punk, however soon he went on to develop documentaries, screen plays and feature films, of which he gained critical acclaim for Eternal Sunshine of The Spotless Mind and later, The Science of Sleep. His most recent project is a hand-drawn animated documentary on famed linguist Noam Chomsky, entitled ‘Is The Man Who Is Tall Happy?’
Having hung up his music video shoes a while ago, Metronomy were able to get the visual genius, Gondry, out of retirement to create this visual feast touching on nostalic 60s stage performances and classic kitsch comic book animation.
‘Love Letters’ the album, is due for release on 7th March, and is the follow up to ‘The English Riveria’.
