MIAMIGO Announce London Debut
Newbie Brighton duo MIAMIGO announced last Friday their debut in London, with two shows scheduled in early August.
MIAMIGO has been surging to the top of Hype Machine blog scene with their elegant alternative noir pop, and has recently taken the stage at The Great Escape Festival and The Green Door Store in Brighton, where they debuted their headline new EP ‘Hard To Love’ to dedicated crowds. The critically acclaimed EP, which has attracted praise from the likes of Clash, DIY and Pigeons and Planes, was released last month via their own label, Indian Hop Recordings, and they have just premiered a stunning visual to ‘Irreversible.’
Busy as bees, MIAMIGO have also compiled a mixtape entitled ‘Songs to Dance Alone To,’ in which lead vocalist Liam explains his inspiration: “Some old, some new, these songs reflect a multitude of moods that conjure memories of our dreams and inspirations growing up and our musical muses as MIAMIGO … The melodies create a euphoric feel in me that I find addictive. Perhaps you’ll agree?”
MIAMIGO has already announced two London shows, with more dates to be confirmed later on:
Wed 5th August: New Shapes @ Notting Hill Arts Club
Tues 11th August: Huw Stephens Presents @ The Social
