Mike Skinner & Rob Harvey Announce New Project THE D.O.T
We’re excited to reveal that Mike Skinner, formerly the man behind the hugely popular ‘The Streets’ is back and ready to take the music industry by storm again with his new project ‘THE D.O.T’.
THE D.O.T. is the new musical project from Mike Skinner and Rob Harvey of The Music who met backstage at Big Day Out in 2005. Mike and Rob, THE D.O.T., are set to release their debut album And That, out through The Beats via Shock on 30th November 2012.
Rob Harvey was previously of cult dance rockers The Music who built up a huge and loyal following in their ten years of making music.
Mike Skinner brings his incredible production knowledge and dead pan backing vocals which perfectly augments Rob’s stadium sized vocals and soulful guitar.
From the punctual single ‘You Never Asked’ featuring Clare Maguire and Danny Brown, to the dance tent filler ‘And A Hero’ and rock led plaintive ballads such as ‘Where Did I Go’, this is the sound of two incredible musicians at the height of their craft, making music out of love for it.
The sole motivation when making this record was simply to make great songs with no compromise. They have made songs big enough to fill arenas.
In case you were wondering, if you ask what THE D.O.T. stands for, they won’t tell you! So you’ll just have to make that up for yourselves.
We can’t wait to hear the whole album!
