Missio I Run To You Video Release
Austin-based cinematic, alt-electro artist Missio has released an accompanying video to his sensationally popular ballad of January this year, ‘I Run to You’.
Filmmaker, Taylor King, has described how his work with Missio was approached with “total creative freedom”, while Missio has himself said it is “incredible that two people from separate walks of life are able to unite by way of an inspiring piece of art to create something better than the original”.
It is clear how close the two collaborators were in vision for ‘I Run to You’, with King’s visuals striking the viewer as every bit as atmospheric and introspective as the track itself. While Missio found inspiration in isolation, having moved away from city life into a classic 1974 Airstream Trailer, King was influenced by fashion films – cutting and chopping his slow shots to create a sense of abnormality.
For fans of the track, this is a chance to revisit and revaluate: the visuals breathe a new life into this wonderful track. For everyone else, this is a perfect introduction to Missio’s sound before his debut E.P is released on 11th May.
