Purveyors of summery, bright indie-pop, Set Sail’s spontaneous, guerrilla performances around the world have gotten them arrested in Madrid, 26 free beers on a Virgin flight, music placement with American clothing company Abercrombie & Fitch, and seen them go from busking on the streets to headlining sold-out shows all in the space of a year. Just off their 15 country ‘World Stage’ tour and headlining Australian run of dates that met with rave reviews, the band is now writing and recording material for a second EP and a full-length album to be released this year.

Frank Yamma’s rich, evocative voice, and exceptional guitar skills combined with his brutally honest tales are spine tingling. When Yamma sings, you listen and travel with him. An initiated Pitjantatjara man, he sings in his native language and English. His mighty songs, magical guitar playing and deeply arresting voice are all there in his compelling new album, ‘Countryman’, produced with David Bridie, who will also join him at this show along with George Telek.

Over the summer they’ve nailed their intense, guitar-driven performances at Festival Of The Sun, The Dreaming, Woodford, Big Day Out, Laneway, and Perth festivals.
