Nu Disco Sound At Perfect Havoc Disco
If you’re on the look out for what’s going to be hot in 2015 then you probably have heard all the hype surrounding Nu Disco and after BBM’s first taste of the emerging genre on Saturday 31st January at Perfect Havoc Disco, we can confirm the buzz is justified.
The Shapes warehouse in Hackney Wick, London hosted five of the break though acts causing a stir in the music industry as they take Nu Disco to next plateau. The line up included Oliver Nelson, Tobtok, Skogsrå and Televisor with LeMarquis, the French Nu Disco maestro taking centre stage on the night.
Shapes was the ideal venue to introduce these phenomenal acts to the London scene and we can see these promising talents making major leaps in to becoming big names in mainstream music. With a lively crowd adding to the electric atmosphere, Televisor was the first act to wow the eager audience and the duo (Dutch and English) displayed their talents with a set of Nu Disco/Indie tracks.

The man of the moment is LeMarquis who kept the momentum going from previous act, Oliver Nelson, who is an in-demand producer from Sweden who has risen to fame after jumping on tracks such as ‘My Love’ by Route 94 featuring Jess Glynne and ‘Habits’ by Tove Lo to produce fantastic remixes. LeMarquis is a 21-year-old hailing from France, and is a rising star in his home country, who took the Perfect Havoc Disco in his stride as his near to an hour long set at the Saturday night bash gave the crowd a huge boost with excellent fusion of Nu Disco, House and hint of R&B. LeMarquis is a name to keep tabs on because he’s going to be blowing up in 2015!
If you were unlucky enough to have missed the night on Saturday you can get a flavour of how it went with the Perfect Havoc Disco mix on Soundcloud.
