Best Day Hikes of New Zealand

Tongariro Crossing:

Pursue this moderately difficult trail for 5 – 8 hours. Be rewarded by stunning views along the trail.

Pinnacles Hike:

Pursue this moderately difficult track for around 6 hours as a day hike or an overnight excursion. Spend the night at the Pinnacles Hut and enjoy the best views at sunset and sunrise!

Key Summit:

Admire the stunning 360o views of the surrounding peaks on a clear day! Pursue this easy hike in 2.5 – 3 hours.

Marian Lake:

Awe and wonder at the beautiful waterfalls and the alpine lake in a hanging valley! This is a 3-hour steep hike.

Roy’s Peak:

This easy track takes 5 – 6 hours to return and offers you beautiful lake views. It is closed from October 1st to November 10th for lambing season. Roy’s Peak is very popular and usually crowded at its famous photographic viewpoint.
