One To Watch – Frontstreet JT

Frontstreet JT is an exciting British rapper who is reigniting the UK rap game with his sophisticated sound and visuals.

JT’s debut release entitled ‘Jazzy Blues’ does exactly what it says on the tin – it is the perfect fusion between rap and jazz, a laid-back melody and punchy hip-hop bars on the verses. The visuals add yet more sophistication to the track, showing JT delivering the lyrics in and around the streets of London at night.

JT gets his name from his crew ‘Frontstreet crew’ – a collective formed of him and his like-minded friends who all have a passion for music and fashion. Hailing from West London, it’s easy to tell that JT’s clever wordplay draws inspiration from his childhood favourites Biggie Smalls and Jay Z. So far he has received huge praise in JT’s home turf from the likes of UK rap blog Link Up and a TV station well known for championing new British talent, Channel AKA.

Coming up next from JT we can expect another video before christmas, and then he’ll be dropping his debut EP which is set to take 2015 by storm.
