One to Watch – IKES

The Hackney resident is making big strides in the world of Rap, not only in the UK but also across the Atlantic Ocean.

With an infectious flow, clever wordplay accompanied by hard hitting 808s it’s easy to see why IKES has had entries in the US hip hop charts and received support from the likes of DJ Whoo Kid. IKES has two projects currently under his belt, ‘Peer2Peer’ and ‘The Intermission: Last Call’ each showcasing his artistic progression.

‘The Intermission: Last Call’ which is home to his lead single ‘Girl Talk’ featuring Jermaine Riley and Scorcher gained IKES a lot of positive attention with support from BBC 1Xtra.

2015 is set to be a promising year for the young MC with a scheduled SXSW performance and with the latest video for his brand new single ‘No Commercial’ you can expect to see a lot more of quality material from IKES.
