
Panama Return And Drop Their EP ‘Always’
Electronic House Pop hopefuls Panama returned earlier this month and brought with them the release of their hugely-awaited second EP ‘Always’ through Future Classic – and it’s definitely one you’ll be sticking on repeat.
Nostalgic lead track ‘Always’ proved its popularity by skimming the 400,000 play mark on SoundCloud in under a fortnight, and additionally pushed its way to the top of Hype Machine last week. The track’s cinematic treat of a video, filmed in Berlin by the award-winning production team, A Nice Idea Everyday, also was awarded a much-deserved staff pick on Vimeo.
Fronted by the super talented songwriter and pianist Jarrah McCleary, Electro-House anthem ‘Always’ was recorded in San Francisco with and produced by Eric Broucek – who has also lent his hand to the likes of !!!, Classixx, Holy Ghost!, Hercules and Love Affair.
The boys show their talents don’t just stop at writing music – the soulful second track ‘How We Feel’ was recorded at McCleary’s home studio and effectively illustrates Panama’s variation of different styles and capabilities.
To round off the EP, the 80’s-sounding underdog ‘Destroyer’ will have your foot tapping and your head nodding as you wonder why the hell Panama aren’t already huge!
The Sydney-based boys previously found success with their 2012 EP release ‘It’s Not Over’, but are now cementing themselves as ones to keep an eye on as they gain an ever-expanding fan base.
The quartet graced BBC Radio 1’s airtime last week with their fresh beats, and LA’s hottest duo right now, Classixx, have additionally remixed the boys’ ‘Always’– followed by Wave Racer and Cosmo’s Midnight that are expected over the next few weeks.
The foursome have also recently announced that they will be playing Field Day in 2014, accompanying the likes of A$AP Rocky, London Grammar, Flume and many more.
Available as a ‘pay what you want’ on Bandcamp, Panama are allowing their fans easy access to their tracks for a limited time at a minimum price of just $1 (AUD) – so snap it up quick!
