Peaking Light’s Remix Jape The Hearts Desire
If you’re a fan of Metronomy, Hot Chip and all that sort of electro-pop nonsense, then this tune from Jape will fill your little head with eargasms of epic proportions.
The latest offering from electro-pop outfit Jape comes in the form of ‘The Hearts Desire’ which is set for release on 24th November through Faction Records. But what’s more is that Peaking Lights have done a splendiferous remmix of ‘The Hearts Desire’.
With womping synths trumping along, and echoey vocals, the three piece band are very comparable to late noughties Hot Chip in their sound. And this single is a compelling nod to the contemplative, expressive style of their forthcoming LP, ‘This Chemical Sea’ – no doubt influenced by Egan’s move to Malmo, Sweden in 2012, where he settled to write the new material – it demonstrates Jape’s ability to produce original, dark and atmospheric ‘gothic pop’.
With two Choice Music Awards under their belt, we’re sure the LP is going to be nothing short of genius.
