Day 1 – Perth to Broome tours: Perth to Northbrook
Today’s first stop will be the impressive Pinnacles Desert in Nambung National Park. You will enjoy a fully guided tour through these fantastic limestone formations and drop in at the Discovery Centre before we have lunch by the sea. After a quick stop in the town of Geraldton, it’s on to Northbrook Farmstay to check in to our accommodation for the night (please note, due to summer temperatures and timing, the first night accommodation will be Kalbarri YHA from December to March). Day 2 – Northbrook to Shark Bay
Today we will visit the marvels of The Murchison Gorge, Nature’s Window and Z-Bend in Kalbarri National Park. Here you will have the option to try abseiling into the gorge (extra cost)! If conditions allow us, we will cool off with a swim in the Murchison River before we’re on the bus travelling north to Shell Beach and Denham for our accommodation. (B, L, D)
Day 3 – Shark Bay to Coral Bay
Meet the famous Monkey Mia Dolphins this morning and get some fantastic photos. Then, join any optional activities or chill out at the beach or the resort. We visit the breathing rock formations.
‘Stromatolites’ before we settle into our accommodation in Coral Bay, located on the famous Ningaloo Reef! (B, L, D)
Day 4 – Coral Bay
Today is yours to enjoy the many great tours and activities Coral Bay offers, with special discounts available as a West Coast Cruiser passenger! Go for a stroll on the beach and check out the shark nursery,
swim with the manta rays, go for a scuba dive or snorkel on the Ningaloo Reef, only meters from shore (all activities at own expense). This evening, we take the short drive up the peninsula to Exmouth and check into our accommodation. (B, D)
Day 5 – Exmouth
Today we explore Cape Range National Park, a spectacular place of rugged limestone ranges, breathtaking deep canyons and 50km of pristine beaches. Relax on the beach or go snorkelling at the stunning Turquoise Bay (snorkel hire $10), visit Vlamingh Head Lighthouse, relax at Milyering Visitors Centre and more before we return to our accommodation late afternoon. Day 6 – Exmouth to Karijini National Park
Up early, we travelled east through station country and stopped at Tom Price, the highest town in Western Australia. Here we get our supplies before we head to the amazing Karijini National Park. We stay at the multi-award-winning Karijini Eco Retreat in Eco Safari Tents with your veranda, quality beds, linen, and hot showers! (B, L, D)
Days 7 & 8 – Karijini National Park/Port Hedland
The following two days give us plenty of time to explore Karijini National Park and to enjoy 2.5 billion years of evolution and 40.000 years of culture. We visit and hike the gorges, swim in amazing rock pools, stand
under waterfalls and explore intriguing rock formations, including Hancock Gorge, Weano Gorge and its adventurous Handrail Pool, Dales Gorge, Circular Pool, Fortescue Falls, Fern Pool and more. Then late on day 8, we travel further north to Port Hedland for our last night’s accommodation (Day 7: B, L, D Day 8: B, L).
Day 9 – Port Hedland to Broome
This morning sees us arrive at 80 Mile Beach for some fantastic photos! When we finally come to Broome, we will take you on a tour around town and Cable Beach before we check in at our accommodation. (B, L)
Day 10 & 11: Broome
Enjoy free time and all that Broome has to offer for the following two days. Go for a swim at the stunning Cable Beach, explore Chinatown and its pearling history, watch a movie at the world’s open-air cinema or ride a camel on the beach at sunset (additional cost). Check out various eating venues for lunches and dinners, or cook at the hostel. (B)
Days 12, 13 & 14 – Broome to Perth via Northbrook (breakfast included only)
The three-day express journey back to the state’s Perth travels along the coastline with a night in Karratha Backpackers, and our overnight stays at our accommodation at Northbrook Farm Stay. We return to Perth in the afternoon of day 14 and bid farewell to our group. If you have lunch and dinner daily, you can provide breakfast. (B)
