Plastic Fish Records Presents American Sole

Plastic Fish Records is an independent UK record label, which provides the voice and the support for underground bands. They have already signed a variety of indie acts that represent the sound of youth and vigorous energy from all over the world.

Plastic Fish Records new compilation album ‘ American Sole’ features a list of the best upcoming indie acts from the UK, The States and Europe. It features the gentle, tropical sounds of Beach Youth alongside UK based The Sea The sea – whose EP Sub Rose has just been released. Bournemouth rock ‘n’ rollers YOOFS, Lo-fi indie from Joeyy Four and showcases the raw energy and emotion of Nicotine Dream.

The first track on American Sole, which arrived October 27th, is the sparkling and youthfully vibrant Days by Beach Youth. The French-based band is made up of members Simon Dumottier, Etienne Froidure, Louis-Antonin Lesieur and Gautier Caignaert. Together they have crafted a sound that’s easily comparable to Swim Deep and Magic Man but also stands apart on its own. You’ll be swept away by the band’s tropical rhythms and deep instrumentation.

Twirling, swaying ‘Don’t See It Coming’ by Nicotine Dream is a whine-stained and dreary-dreamy track that shows authentic guitar music is timeless. YOOFs ‘Can’t Think’ is a satisfying sugar-coated gumdrop of soft pop rock with atmospheric guitars, soaring harmonies that might remind you of a cross between Oasis and the Beach Boys.

Overall, the astonishing 8-track EP boasts a flawless track-to-track resume of best upcoming indie sounds. The EP is jam packed with the kind of harmonies you thought was long forgotten.
