Professor Green nominated for Brit Award as he announces Oz tour link up with JESSIE J!
With hislatest hit single Read All About It (feat. Emeli Sandé) currently spinning on all Top 40 radio in Australia, UK underground hip hop phenomenon Professor Green has accepted the mic as support for Jessie J’s upcoming first ever Australian headline tour!
The reveal of this support slot comes off the back of a prestigious Brit Award nod last week, following the official nominations announcement. Professor Green is up for a gong in the British Male Solo Artist category at this year’s awards ceremony, to be held on 21st February.
Breaking out of London’s underground Hip Hop scene back in 2006 at the tender age of 23, Professor Green (aka Stephen Paul Manderson) is a prodigious rapper who has got more than just the skills to pay the bills. In just five short years he’s toured with megastars like Lily Allen and The Game, and dropped a debut LP (Alive Till I’m Dead) on Virgin Records that captivated hip hop fans around the globe. PG is certainly taking the world by storm at the moment.
His acclaimed brand new sophomore album is the brilliant At Your Inconvenience, which was so good that it’s release was fast tracked in Australia to December 2011. That’s a clever professor!
Professor Green’s two albums to date have reached number two and three respectively in the UK charts, and his most recent single Read All About It (feat. Emeli Sandé) was a smash hit in the UK, reaching the dizzying heights of number one!
