Red Bull Bedroom Jam Webcast Winner #2: Masketta Fall

It seems Melbourne is full of awesomely talented up and comers! After the announcement of Lets Not Pretend taking out the first webcast win, we are excited to announce the second webcast winner Masketta Fall, who also hail from the southern city.

Masketta Fall entered the competition with their uber-catchy guitar pop tune ‘Without You’ and it didn’t take long for their fan base to launch them to the forefront of the competition. “We actually missed round one, but we saw the video for Lets Not Pretend and thought we should get involved!”

A shared love for bands like Story of the Year, Good Charlotte and Simple Plan brought Bradden “FayBanger” Ross (Vocals, 19), Daniel “Moli” Molivas (Guitar, 22), Benjamin “Big Red” James (Guitar, Vocals, 22), Jamie “Rolph” Ross (Drums, 21) and Ryan “Spilla” Spiller (Bass, 21) together to create Masketta Fall.

With a fan base more than 6000 deep on Facebook alone, Masketta Fall are adamant about maintaining an solid relationship with their followers. “We’re quite active on all the social media sites – Facebook, Twitter and YouTube. We tweet back to everyone who tweets us and write back to all messages.” Offline, the band is just as active with dedicated fans always helping to spread the word. “Fans wear our t-shirts all the time around town and pass on our EP samplers to all of their friends. We play as many shows as we can and do a lot of promo to get our name out there.”

Amongst the three original songs that Masketta Fall will be performing for the webcast is their new single, ‘So Contagious’. Fans are already swarming over the teaser that the band has uploaded (see below). Check out the premiere of their new track during their webcast on Thursday, April 12 at 7pm AEST.

Mid year, Masketta Fall will also be releasing their debut EP that they recorded late last year. Shortly after, the pop rockers will be hitting the stage at the Bedroom to Backyard Jam alongside four other webcast winners from phase one of the online competition.

For those of you still keen to get involved, Masketta Falls’ advice is to “Just go for it!” and you could be joining them at the Bedroom to Backyard Jam sharing the stage with an awesome Aussie headliner.

Competition Overview:
Red Bull Bedroom is back bigger and better in 2012. This year we’re looking for vocalists, duos and bands aged between 15 and 21. To enter, all you need to do is record a video of an original track, create an artist or band profile then upload it to www.redbullbedroomjam.com.au. Spread the word to your friends and fans to create as much buzz as you can. The more buzz you create, the higher you’ll climb up the buzz chart. Top the buzz chart, and you could be performing a gig from your very own bedroom beamed to the world via webcast. Winners will also get the chance to play one of the country’s most iconic live music venues or share the stage with some of the biggest bands in the world at a major music festival, plus record at the brand new Red Bull studios in Sydney.
