
Reggae Town Line-Up Revealed
Cairns are you ready? It’s that time of year again! Oh yes, Oh yes, get your Reggae Skank on and get on down to the 10th anniversary in the Kuranda Amphitheatre where it all began. On September 1st, just 27kms northwest of the beautiful city of Cairns, Reggae Town comes alive with the riddim and the soul of the rainforest and the world heritage areas of Barron Falls National Park. Festivals don’t win the ‘2010 TimeOut award for Best Festival’ for nothing now!
The Amphitheatre, set 300m altitude in the village of Kurunda, will be home to a line-up Bob Marley would have been proud of. Check out the line-up BBM has so far managed to get their nosey noses into:

Due to popular demand at last year’s booming Reggae Town, many artists will be returning much to your listening pleasure. BLUE KING BROWN are back in town where they belong after a very successful year so far playing at festivals across the country. Australia’s very own unique and premier 8 piece live urban roots crew, Blue King Brown are ready to take the crowd to another level. Lead by the truly wonderful, inspiring and relentless Natalie Pa’apa’a, these guys are to be seen and experienced before you can even begin to imagine the power they have on stage. Due to their powerfully written lyrics, movement and vocals, they take their sounds from Dancehall to Roots, from Rock & Afro Groove.
KATCHAFIRE since the release of their platinum selling, fourth studio album ‘On The Road Again’, Katchafire have hit the Reggae scene and have never looked back. Over the last 10 years, this New Zealand Marley tribute band has given the magic touch of Reggae to thousands of fans as they tour their talents across the globe. Whilst on the opposite side of the world, they were nominated Best International Band at the British Reggae Music Awards in the UK. Returning to Australia already for the second time in 2012, Reggae Town is proudly making room for the big band with a lot of soul and passion.
GRAMPS MORGAN will be playing out to the masses at the festival, in a very special debut Australian appearance. Travelling all the way from Jamaica, The release of Gramps’ first album proceeded with performances on a string of insanely popular and high status tours with John Legend (Evolver), India Arie (Soulbird) and Buju Banton (Rasta’s Got Soul). Continuing above and beyond, Gramps also gained Grammy status with ‘Try Life’ on Banton’s 2010 ‘Reggae Album of the Year’ Before The Dawn as co-producer. Make way for this multi-million-follower artist, Reggae Town is pumped for him to take to the stage.
