SEASONS OF CHANGE GRAFFITI WALL & EXHIBITION FEAT: SABETH & FAME ‘EMPHATIC HIEROGLYPHS’
Brought to you by Revolver Upstairs in conjunction with GraffixCreative ‘Seasons of Change’ showcases local and international artists at Revolver internal and external art spaces. The elements of each event is dictated by the event’s artists, however all will feature a large scale mural on outside wall lasting for three months and a one night only exhibition. Limited edition commemorative prints will also be produced for each exhibition. Following the event prints will then be available for sale on the DangerFork online store (if not sold out). Sabeth began painting in 1987, his first piece under the moniker sabef appeared in 1989 with variations ensuing over the years including sabef, sabf, sabeth, sab and sabs. He was heavily involved in the Melbourne train movement 1990-1995. Sabeth’s work has continued to progress steadily over the years, his first solo show last year was met with a great response. Frame has been painting since the mid 90’s and is a known for his distinct letter styles and brilliant use of colour. His work has a comic feel with strong lines and bold bright colours. “Ever since I can remember I’ve been interested in art. I never really felt at home with any particular art form until I found graffiti.” Starring Sabeth and Frame plus DJs Johnny Crates and Who. 6-9pm – one night only exhibition.

JONESEZ ‘GRUFFALO ALBUM TOUR’ with special guests
Jonesez latest video, Way Superior, from their album Gruffalo saw the band gather a bunch of gnomes together to farewell head honcho gnome “Lenny”. Now it’s time for Jonesez to cross the country on their GRUFFALO Album tour. In February & March the band will play Victoria, Canberra, NSW, SA & WA. Lock up your gnomes kids! Jonesez are playing Revolver Upstairs Friday 2nd March with special guests. Doors 8.30pm. Tickets $12.00 available on the door.

PLUTO JONEZ, CUB SCOUTS double headline tour with special guests
Its the season for great times, warm vibes and inevitable tropical storms. The Hurricane Evie Tour an explosive whirlwind of musical excitement and bliss is set to sweep along the east coast, as two of Australias most exciting new acts – Pluto Jonze and Cub Scouts join forces to embark on a highly anticipated national co-headline tour. Following the success of his acoustic album – Money On Your Tongue, debuting at No# 2 on the iTunes singer/songwriter charts, Michael returns to Revolver in March 2012 for 4 nights only. After his run of sold out shows at Revolver in 2009, the success of Love the Fall and his recent string of National and NZ dates playing with iconic Australian band Icehouse, Michael is pleased to be able to return to Revolver get up close and personal with his fans as he performs some of his most loved songs – both self penned and covers. Joining him on stage will be a string of special guests each week. Nights are limited and tix are available.

FINAL LIES (ACT) EP LAUNCH with special guests ALMARIA, WHILE THE CITY SLEEPS & GLASS EMPIRE
Canberra based, female fronted rock band FINAL LIES are set to embark on their first Melbourne tour in support of their forthcoming EP Truth, Lies, & Alibis. FINAL LIES 2009 self-titled CD saw three of its tracks featuring simultaneously in the top 10 of the Triple J Unearthed charts, and with the procurement of new vocalist Sally Gillberg for their new release, are excited by the fresh sound. In support of FINAL LIES Truth, Lies and Alibis are some of Melbournes finest rock bands in the likes of WHILE THE CITY SLEEPS, ALMARIA and GLASS EMPIRE. PLANET JUMPER 12″ EP LAUNCH with guests THE VOLATILE RAM feat T REK/ CIRCUIT BENT & DJ ASH MORTIMER
Slap Gravity Records and Revolver Upstairs proudly present: Electronic Funk specialists Planet Jumper. Launching their first 12 on Slap Gravity Records which features an amazing psychedelic remix by Scottish productionDJ legends Optimo, Planet Jumper are set to drive the floor of the front room at Revolver into overdrive. Planet Jumpers live show features frenetic live remixing of original Planet Jumper productions, which draw on the super heavy keyboard funk of the late 70s and early 80s, classic cultural antagonists and an overwhelming desire to push the funk forward. Combining sticky synths, psychedelic wah guitar samples, low slung bass lines and hyper percussive live drumming that always sits in the groove, Planet Jumper has a sound that never fails to shake all that matters down low. After slaying audiences at this years Rainbow Serpent Fest, Planet Jumper cannot wait to take their sound back to Revolver. Support on the night comes from The (most awesome) Volatile Ram feat T Rek and Omelette records mainstays Circuit Bent who both manage to twist all grooves and shake all floors proper.
