Ride The Sydney Monorail For The Last Time
The Sydney Monorail is to close on 30th June 2013, so we think a final journey is in order. Despite not being loved by everyone, the Monorail was rather convenient and circled the city, meaning you can take in the sights while hopping on and off as you please. It’s a great way to get around, although noisy and busy at times.
Before this air-based train retires, replaced with an improved tram network and a clean-up of the surrounding area, take the kids on an Eye Spy Up High tour of Sydney on this historical piece of transport. An unlimited day pass costs from $9.80 and a family day pass can be purchased for $24, and include discounts to Sydney’s best attractions.
With plenty of attractions and events on from now until the Monorail closes, there are so many reasons to use it to get about. From WILD LIFE Sydney Zoo to SEA LIFE Sydney Aquarium and the Sydney Tower Eye, as well as many bars, clubs, restaurants and museums, there’s plenty to do along your journey. You can even take photographs of the view that the Monorail offers and share them in the Monorail Life in Photos online gallery.
