Rock The Boat: Benefit Gig for Adam Bandt and The Asylum Seeker Resource Centre – Thursday 22nd August 2013
Rock The Boat, an independently organised benefit gig, will take place on Thursday 22nd August 2013 at the Northcote Social Club.
Embarrassed by the way Australia treats those seeking asylum, proceeds from the event will go towards Adam Bandt’s 2013 election campaign and The Asylum Seeker Resource Centre.
Performing will be Soul band The Basics, beloved 90s group Snout (reforming especially for Rock The Boat), MC and producer Joelistics and Even. Host for the evening is Spicks and Specks alumni Alan Brough, who will also be interviewing Greens member for Melbourne Adam Bandt live on stage.
Come down and help make some noise and rock the boat!
