Rocking Steady Ska Fest

The best of Ska and Rocksteady will be showcased at Rocksteady Skafest 2019 happening on 2^nd June from 3 pm at the main room and Back Yard of Rosemount Hotel, states the official website. It is a 18+ event.

Ska and Rocksteady fans the tickets for the festival are available. It is priced at $29.10 for General admission and you can purchase them online at www.skaandbritishmusicevents.com/calendar.

It further states that the doors will open at 3.30pm on the day of the show.

Program

According to the website the program schedule is as follows. TBC will perform at 4 pm, Skarper at 5.05 pm, Little Pedro at 6.10 pm, Dilip n the Davs at 7.15 pm, The Donald Trumpets at 8.20 pm, TBC again at 9.25 pm and The Isolites will perform at 10.30 pm.  The show will also feature  Jah Fyre plus many more artistes.

DJs

The DJs who will perform include General Justice, Mumma Trees, Upfront n Central and Razor Jack TBC. There will be DJs in the main room all day and the beer garden from 8pm playing the best of Rock Steady, Ska and Reggae.

Seven live bands will showcase the very best of Cool Rocksteady, Boss Regae, Two Tone, Trojan and Scorching Ska.

The show will take you right back to the early 60’s Jamaican roots of ska from legendary bands like the skatalites,and artists like Prince Buster, through to some of the sweetest rocksteady from vocal harmony groups such as the Heptones and artists such as Alton Ellis and Desmond Dekker, through to roots reggae and UK Two Tone.
