
Rottofest Festival September 2013
The annual Rottofest festival has returned for a lively weekend of comedy, music and film. With diverse acts for a fun-filled weekend it’s not to be missed.
From Saturday 7th September to Sunday 8th September over 30 comedy performers and 20 music acts will entertain on Rottnest Island. In addition there will be a specially curated selection of Australia’s funniest sketches and short films, as part of Rottofest’s Funniest Shorts.
Alongside the finest local Perth comedy acts headliners include: Heath Franklin’s Chopper, Greg Fleet, Tahir (Fat Pizza), Steady Eddy, Joel Creasey and Smart Casual as well as The Big Hoo Haa. Special international and interstate guests will also be entertaining, with the likes of Chris ‘The Bloke’ Franklin (QLD), Pat Burtscher (Canada), Sami Shah (Pakistan), Ben Darsow (SA), Nick Sun (NSW), Shayne Hunter (QLD), Peter Flanagan (Ireland), Amos Gill (SA), Jared Jekyll (NSW) and Cam James (NSW).
Headline music acts are: Sticky Fingers from New South Wales, Grace Woodroofe, Lime Cordiale, Sun City and The Brow Horn Orchestra. Joining them are 44th Sunset, Matt Gresham, Boys Boys Boys, Sam Perry, The Love Junkies, Bastian’s Happy Flight, Lilt, Grrl Pal, Pumba, Moana, and The Mighty Pirate. Exciting sets from DJs Micah, NDorse, Paradise Paul and Troy Division can also be heard across the weekend.
Tickets prices range start from $79 for a day pass with festival entry and a return ferry. A weekend pass from $199 includes festival entry, a return ferry and accommodation. Early bird tickets are available until Wednesday 7th August 2013.
