Europe’s biggest street festival, the Notting Hill Carnival, is one of London’s most exciting summer attractions. Every August bank holiday, the streets of West London thrive with exotic sounds and smells to delight your senses. Relish the traditional steel bands, Reggae, Funk, and R&B tunes, as well as live music from local bands and international artists. Whatever stage you choose to visit, you’re promised an eclectic line-up of exhilarating music.

This year, Sancho Panza, a staple act of the Notting Hill Carnival for twenty years, will not take the stage. Due to construction works on site, Jimmy K Tel and Matt Brown will not be performing this year and will be replaced by Mark Ross Sound System. Fear not, Mark Ross is sure to deliver a dynamic performance and the carnival promises an abundance of other sensational stages to visit.

Mark Ross Sound System

Blasting out Soulful House, RnB, Slow Jam, Funk and Reggae from his turbo sound system, Mark Ross will brighten up the middle row off Kensal Road this carnival. With special guest Master Stepz, grab an alcoholic beverage, some West Indian cuisine and revel in this vibrant environment.

RBMA Sound System

This year, the electronic dance duo Basement Jaxx are headlining the Red Bull Music Academy Sound System! Certain to bring an electric atmosphere, the Brit award-winning duo will be showcasing tunes from their new highly anticipated album. You’ll love dancing along to the infectious tunes of this revolutionary house act.

The Flavour Magazine  Soundstage

Fancy a bit of Marley? Head down to the Flavour Magazine soundstage, situated by Westbourne Park Station, for tunes from the late Bob Marley alongside special guest performers. Boasting the best in Hip Hop, Reggae Dancehall, Drum & Bass and 80’s/90’s classics, you’ll be swept up in the lively atmosphere created by some of the best local DJ’s, including DJ Supreme, Gavin Peters and Top Boy Kae.

The Latin Rave Street Jam

Offering unique sounds inspired by Latin music, the Latin Rave Street Jam attracts hundreds of Latin lovers to Portobello road. DJ Sylvester and DJ Giles Peterson along with thirteen other DJ’s provide crowds with a taste of live Funk, Brazilian and Latin Jazz music. Come along to the best Latino vibe in the whole carnival and unleash your inner child with the free dance classes.

King Tubby’s

Celebrating over forty years of dancehall, reggae and soul music, King Tubby is a true star of the Notting Hill Carnival. As one of Jamaica’s most cherished performers, King Tubby promises crowds the best in reggae and bashment; and all are welcome in a friendly, bustling atmosphere. You’re sure to become engrossed with the catchy, rhythmic music inspired by the Jamaican dance scene!

Rampage

The Rampage soundstage returns this summer! Previously boasting international artists such as Sean Paul, Tinie Tempah, Mark Ronson and Ms Dynamite, to name a few, this stage typically attracts over 12,000 people over the bank holiday. For recognisable, worldwide tunes in a vibrant environment, make your way to the most notorious and largest static soundstage in the Carnival.

Different Strokes

Feeling energetic? Head to watch Different Strokes and dance the day away with their wild mix of Jungle, Drum & Bass and Hip Hop tunes.

Rapattack

The Rapattack crew promise an exciting party style atmosphere with a combination of popular soul, funk and dance tracks from the 1970’s to present day. With music ranging from James Brown to Justin Timberlake, Rapattack is one of the premier soundstages at the carnival. Grab your friends and head down to experience this dynamic stage – with the 50,000-watt digital sound system you’ll be hooked!

Mellotone

A unique musical duo, Mellotone comprise two female DJs, Marilyn Dennis and Julie Henry. The duo have been performing at Notting Hill Carnival for twenty years, and provide crowds with upbeat tunes in the style of Swing, Soul and Reggae. Known for their old Caribbean style sessions at Notting Hill Carnival, the duo are popular among regulars that return to experience their stage every year as well as new visitors to the carnival.

Gi Roadshow

Make your way to Adella Street for the Gi Roadshow. Led by DJ Megus, chill out to peaceful Reggae, Soca, Salsa and Latin vibes at this stage. This soundstage is ideal for those who favour a more relaxed atmosphere, or seek a retreat from the bustle of the carnival.
