Sankeys Announce New ‘Dance 88/89’ Series In The UK And Ibiza

Sankeys owner David Vincent has just confirmed a rumour that’s been floating around for a while.

He plans to bring back some classic Acid House and Balearic Beat with a series of parties called Dance 88/89. The parties will take place every Wednesday at Sankey’s Ibiza starting May 25th and be weekly for 19 Weeks until September 28th. There will also be a special UK edition on March 27th, Easter Sunday, at a secret location near Manchester.

The line-up for these events will really celebrate the pioneers and most influential acts of the scene. Just some of the names included are Adamski, Alfredo, Colin Dale, Evil Eddie Richards, Fabio and Grooverider, Frankie Valentine, Graeme Park, MC Kinky, Marshall Jefferson, Mr C, Nicky Holloway, Terry Farley, Trevor Fung and 808 State.

David Vincent says: “Dance 88/89 is my own personal artistic project which celebrates the original music culture of classic underground Acid House, in an authentic environment. It’s aim is to put the fun back into dance music.”
