SBTRKT Announces Melbourne Side Show

Seeing as we love SBTRKT we are so excited to announce that he will be returning to Australian shores in January for a one off show at Billboard in Melbourne, after also playing at Falls Festival, Southbound and Field Day.

SBTRKT’s (pronounced ‘subtract’) debut album pulls off a series of impressive feats: it’s bursting with fresh ideas but yet sounds immediately familiar. The album’s influences are incorporated with subtlety and sophistication: dense enough to interpret, light enough to dance to. Featuring collaborations with Sampha, Roses Gabor and Jessie Ware, the album – a former Triple J Album of the Week – also features Little Dragon and the imitable voice of Yukimi Nagano on single ‘Wildfire’.

Named by NME as the #1 most ground-breaking dance act in the world, SBTRKT has left his imprint on the UK music scene by seamlessly fusing Detroit techno, Berlin electro and classic 2-step into the thriving London dubstep scene. His debut self titled album, released last year on Young Turks and Remote Control, has been critically received the world over and SBTRKT has become one of today’s most prolific electronic artists.
