Senior Internet Services (DevOps) Engineer

Leading Telco require a DevOps Engineer to work in the Internet Services Engineering team (DevOps), which is responsible for the design, development, maintenance and enhancement of software & solutions to support key Broadband Internet, IPTV, Mobile platform & services.

You will be responsible for the support, development, maintenance and enhancement of key Broadband Internet platforms and services including various subscriptions, and multi-year Transformation programs. These platforms and services are focused on various ISP and TV related technologies and protocols with an extensive use of the Perl scripting language in a Linux environment.

These platforms and services are focused on various Internet & Open source technologies and protocols with an extensive use of the following skill sets:

Core Skill sets (Must)

• Strong experience with Perl development (Min 3 years)
• Proven & advanced experience with Linux
• Experience with Postgres, Mongodb, MySQL databases
• Experience with basic Networking/ Internet (TCP/IP, FTP, Firewall, DNS, Radius, DHCP, packet capture/debug/optimisation)
• Experience with one of the following Configuration Management tools (Ansible, Puppet)

Specialised in 1 or more areas below:

• Perl Software Engineer in developing business applications or product from design, development, and implementation
• IPTV/Content Delivery Network (Ngnix, Varnish), Multi CDN design/implementation, and OTT content preparation and distribution technologies (encoding, transcoding, streaming to various devices/applications)
• Open stack/SDN technology design/development/implementation(Open stack, Open shift, Kubernatives, Docker, Ansible, puppet, Open daylight / Netconf/ Yang, restconf etc, Python)
• Analytics & Dashboard design/dev/implementation (Elastic Search, Kabana, Hadoop and other open source related tools)
