Senior Highways Engineer Job In Brisbane

With the recent success of major infrastructure projects their Transport team is looking for an experienced Highways Engineer/Senior Highways Engineer to join the team on a permanent basis in Brisbane.

Our client is currently growing their team to meet the demands of a strong and growing pipeline of work including major urban and rural highway projects. This key position within the transport infrastructure team will see you providing input on the design and delivery of major projects across the country.

In this role you will be responsible for managing and overseeing projects from inception to completion, as well as providing technical leadership and mentoring to junior engineers and designers across the infrastructure project teams. You will also be given the opportunity to manage selected projects, design teams and/or design processes (or parts of projects) to meet agreed budget, quality and timeframe targets.

Reporting to the Project Manager, you will manage all commercial aspects relating to projects and design teams for which responsible; promote awareness of technical and commercial risk assessment and mitigation and best value design options for projects. Your experience and sound judgement will be utilised to review and ensure compliance of the components of the project for which responsible, including drawings, reports, specifications and studies and the interfaces with other disciplines.

To succeed in this role, you will have a proven background in an engineering consultancy environment, demonstrated leadership skills, management/mentoring experience on a team or project basis, and the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with clients and industry representatives on projects.
