Shake Up A Winter Warmer Cocktail With the weather being pretty rubbish and cold, there’s nothing quite like a winter warmer cocktail to take you through the colder months. Here’s a few of our favourites.
Chancellor Cocktail
It’s not known who the genius was behind this cocktail, but we’re damn sure that the dry and delicious drink should be high on your list of what to order the next time you’re perched next to the bar.
Ingredients: 2 ounces whiskey – blended Scotch whisky, 1 ounce ruby port, 1/2 ounce vermouth – French vermouth and 2 dashes orange bitters. Serve in an elegant cocktail glass.
Irish Coffee
The smoothness of the Irish whiskey, blended with the bitterness of coffee and the topping of cream is a popular warming tipple during winter and is a perfect way to round off a hearty meal at your local.
Ingredients: 2 ounces whiskey – Irish whiskey, 5 to 6 ounces coffee, 2 teaspoons sugar topped off with heavy cream. Serve in a glass mug.
Esky’s Hot Spot
From the bright mind of Arnold Gingrich, the Esky Hot Pot is a delightful warm treat that was created
way back in 1935. A timeless classic that you’ll enjoy time and again.
Ingredients: 2 ounces whiskey – Irish whiskey, 1 sugar cube, lemon peel and 4 ounces water. To be served in a glass mug.
Millionaire
Winter doesn’t normally put a smile on most people’s faces but the jovial Millionaire cocktail will put you in a cheerful mood. It’s a great drink that is sweet and pleasant to sip on.
Ingredients: 2 ounces whiskey – rye whisky, 1/2 ounce Grand Marnier, 1 dash grenadine and 1 egg white. Serve in a cocktail glass.
