ShareMyPlaylists.com launches Spotify Platform App

ShareMyPlaylists.com have announced the launch of a music discovery and playlist sharing app for the new Spotify Platform.

ShareMyPlaylists.com is the largest and oldest Spotify community site online and since its launch in 2009 has published over 60,000 high quality Spotify playlists available to its users worldwide. The site currently generates 10,000 playlists plays per day and has over 100 new playlists uploaded daily.

The new ShareMyPlaylists.com app for Spotify builds on the service that the website offers with even simpler integration for Spotify users. Once clicking on the app in the new Spotify Apps, users can enjoy the following features:

Featured Playlists: This is the app homescreen where we feature 50 hand-picked playlists that show originality, uniqueness and something engaging for Spotify users to listen to. These are all hand curated by our in-house content team.

Top 50 Playlists: These are the most popular playlists on the site ranked by play count and updated every Monday.

Playlist Generator: Located in the bottom part of the app screen this feature allows you to auto generate a playlist based on an artist or group that you enter into the submit box. Not only does it generate a playlist based on similar artists but it then allows users to further customise the playlist by using the “replace track”, “add another track from this artist” and “delete track” control buttons next to the playlist. You can then save the finished playlist to their Spotify sidebar by clicking on the “add as playlist” button.

Submit Playlist: Users can now drag and drop their existing Spotify playlists from their sidebar into this section of the app. Then with just a couple of clicks they can publish their playlist to the community on ShareMyPlaylists.com.
