Single Review: Clean Bandit – Local Sauce

Clean Bandit are back again with another mezmorising track. This time the collective let their London roots shine through. Entering with a hypnotic riff, the strings instantly pique your interest, before a dancey digital beat enters. Vocalists Jungle VIP begins to flow over the strings instantly bringing the tempo up and exciting the listener. Vocals from Subzy, Camilla Farrant and Eliza Shaddad all feature on this track. And with the Middle Eastern inspired wails you’re transported from the streets of London to an Arabian souk in one fell swoop. This culmination of the chromatic strings, mc-ing, ad-lips and laid back flow of vocals from Camilla Farrant really do make Local Sauce a great representational tune of what London really is… a melting pot of varying cultures.

On the follow up from their previous track UK Shanty, we’re excited to see what instrumental collective Clean Bandit have in store for 2012 as they’re certainly getting off to a flying start, and working with a plethora of vocal artists, they’ve no doubt got a lot of options.
