Single Review: The Holidays – All Time High
Sydney’s warm and fuzzy, Indie-Pop boys The Holidays are here with another pensive slither of album number two – which is to be released towards the beginning of next year.
After a first tasting of the so-far unnamed collection, with the intangible ‘Voices Drifting’, the band present fans with a further helping from their 2014 release.
Its second single ‘All Time High’, equally displays the groups budding development. The Holidays prove their coming-of-age through this transitional tracks wonder.
Fall into a four minute dream world of turbulent guitars and sweet synth. Be seduced as Simon Jones vocals float with wistful ease above bassist Alex Korrt’s thumping and colossal riff. The colourful contrast creates a whimsical sound mighty enough to tackle arena sized venues.
With its current dreamy singles offering attractive escapism, we can imagine that the album to come – will be somewhat utopian.
